Program Rationale
The Maskwachees Administrative Assistant program has been developed to address the increased need for computer literate employees in the community. The courses presented in this program reflect the needs of business and industry in the local and surrounding area, and the computer industry in general.
Program Goals
The goal of this program is to provide basic clerical and computer skills that afford the student the opportunity to pursue further education in this field, or entry-level skills for work in a clerical or receptionist position. Each component is of a topical nature, relative to the community and entry-level clerical employment opportunities.
Admission Requirements
Students entering this program require an assessment at a Grade Ten level, and preferably, experience working in an office environment. Computer experience is not required. This is a program which requires dedication on the part of the student; full time attendance is critical to a successful outcome.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates of the Office Administration Program can expect to obtain employment in an entry-level computer data-entry position. Those students with past employment in the clerical or secretarial field will find their employment prospects increased dramatically.

Completion Requirements
Successful completion of the Office Administration Program is demonstrated by completion of all assigned material, and passing grades in all examinations, including a comprehensive integrated exam. Successful completion of Practicum assignments must be documented.
